Patrick Statham, the newest member of The Wisemen, was born to Calvin and Malvilyn Statham, on July 2. 1970. He was brought up in a Christian home, where music was a focus. Having a mother who is a former Clara Ward Singer, and Stellar Award winner, and a father who is a church musician and music teacher, he had no choice but to be involved with it as well. Traveling around the United States with his parents and their singing group, The Calvin Statham Singers, he soon became a regular addition to the group by singing in front of congregations at the age of 2 year of age. At the age of four he was playing drums for his parents and other churches. He is the product of musicians and singers on his mother’s side of the family, and music teachers on his father’s side. He continues this today, by still playing drums, writing music and directing choirs for his church, New Shiloh Baptist Church, in Turners Station, Maryland. On February 19, 2006, he started his service as a deacon, and has been ministering to the people who are in and out of Christ. His sincere prayer is that those who aren’t in Christ get to know Him for themselves, and that those who ARE in Christ maintain their relationship with Him. He loves the peace that God gives him, and he lives by Philippians 4:7, And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
