PATRICK STATHAM

I was brought up in a Christian home, where music was a focus. Having a mother who is a former Clara Ward Singer, and Stellar Award winner, and a father who is a church musician and music teacher,I had no choice but to be involved with music as well. Traveling around the United States with my parents and their singing group, The Calvin Statham Singers, I soon became a regular addition to the group by singing in front of congregations at the early age of two.
At the age of four I was playing drums for my parents and other churches. I have many musicians and singers on my mother’s side of the family, and music teachers on my father’s side. I continue this today, by still playing drums, writing music, and directing choirs for my church, New Shiloh Baptist Church, in Turners Station, Maryland. On February 19, 2006, I started to service as a deacon, and have been ministering to people who are in and out of Christ. My sincere prayer is that those who aren’t in Christ get to know Him for themselves, and that those who ARE in Christ maintain their relationship with Him. I love the peace that God gives me, and I live by Philippians 4:7, "and the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."
